Duplicating a subject

Beginning with Version 3.2, it is possible to duplicate a subject. Furthermore the option exists to duplicate just the subject data or the subject data and their matched image.
To duplicate a subject only:
- In Details Mode select the subject or subjects to be duplicated
- From the main menu select Edit>Duplicate ... or use the Control+D keyboard shortcut

Duplicating the subject Wally Bash as per the screen grab above produces the following result. Note the data is identical except the duplicate record does not have a matched image.

To duplicate a subject and their image or images
- In Details Mode select the subject or subjects to be duplicated
- From the main menu select Edit>Duplicate including image(s) ... or use the Shift+Control+D keyboard shortcut
The screen grab below shows the result of duplicating Wally Bash including his image(s). Note the image field now includes the image filename.

A look at Images Mode or Poses Mode will show the duplicate images for the subject

Before duplicating a subject the following points should be considered.
- In SQL jobs the subject key is never duplicated (subject keys must always be unique)
- Order information if present is not duplicated
- If a subject has multiple images matched to it, all images will be duplicated
- Pose numbers where assigned will also be duplicated
- The duplicate subject will have the same unique field value (ID) as the original but will be considered a separate subject. This fact should be taken into account when ordering, forming composites, exporting and in any other areas of your production workflow
