Duplicating a subject

Applies to: Details Mode

To duplicate a subject only:
  1. In Details Mode select the subject or subjects to be duplicated
  2. From the main menu select Edit>Duplicate ... or use the Control+D keyboard shortcut

Before duplicating a subject the following points should be considered.

  • In SQL jobs the subject key is never duplicated (subject keys must always be unique)
  • Order information if present is not duplicated
  • If a subject has multiple images matched to it, all images will be duplicated
  • Pose numbers where assigned will also be duplicated
  • The duplicate subject will have the same unique field value (ID) as the original but will be considered a separate subject. This fact should be taken into account when ordering, forming composites, exporting and in any other areas of your production workflow
