Hey Dino,

Thanks again for getting us all set up on Tsportal, we’ve been messing around with it and looking at the help articles figuring out how to make it work good for us. Quick question, we got that plug in to see the images, any way of getting a higher res image to look at from that? Also, I know I’m being greedy here, but any way to save the image from there to email it or something like that? We have been scanning order envelopes and would like to be able to read them in that viewer. Thanks again.

    Hi Rob,

The MBS is looking at the images table in the database where there is ALWAYS a thumbnail. That way it will never fail in showing you the image. But as you've seen that's quite a small image.

It could also (or intstead) look at the auxiliary database where the larger previews are stored. You probably have a set defined at 512K and maybe another at 1024K for example. The problem is that no everybody uses the auxiliary database. Some people still use the auxiliary files. Do you know what you do? When you start a new SQL job (File>New) do you tick or untick the box that says "Use auxiliary files"? If it is checked then you're still using the loose auxiliary files and the MBS plug-in doesn't look there. If the box is unchecked then the previews are saved in the database and we can then (with a bit of work) have the plug-in look there.

As for scanning your envelopes, yes I know some people are doing that now and matching the scan to the subject. They can then see it when they click All Images. Is that what you want to do? When you import these images make sure the "Remember path" option is set in the Images Mode Import setup and you'll always see these images when you click the "All images" button in tsPortal.

We've already started looking at tsPortal sending emails. It can be done but is a lot more work than the above.
