Configuraing your Authorize.NET account

Although optional to alleviate potential customer service calls, we recommend confguring your account to validate credit cards by their card number, expiry date and CVV only and NOT billing name and address. People will often make typos when entering their billing address and even their name. If this information is used for validation the transaction will be declined even though the credit card information is correct.

To remove the billing name and address and add the CVV do the following:

1. Log into your Authorize.NET account at https://account.authorize.net.
2. Click Account from the main toolbar
3. Click Payment Form (See screen grab here)
4. Click Form Fields
5. Make the Card Code field Editable and Required. Uncheck all other fields. (See screen grab here)
6. Scroll to the bottom of the window where you may preview how the payment page will appear before submitting your changes

By default the Authorize.NET payment page will check the CVV code provided the Enhanced Security feature is active. To check this:

1. Click the Account Menu from the main toolbar
2. Click Enhanced Card Code Verification (See screen grab here)
3. Ensure the Enable Filter option is checked

To remove the billing address from the verification process:

1. Click the Account Menu from the main toolbar
2. Click Enhanced Address Verification Service (See screen grab here)
3. Uncheck the Enable Filter option
