When an image is deleted in CapturePost does the same thing happen when the operating system is WinXP or Win7?
Are the images deleted from the images folder with both operating systems?

Yes they are deleted from the images folder starting with 3.4.0. If you have a different number of images in CapturePost and the images folder that may be because CapturePost crashed and you lost some matches? Which has more? the folder or CapturePost?

It should also act the same in XP or 7

Did CapturePost crash or did the computer run out of battery while open during this job? In images mode if you run a check images are there any missing?

On one job that we are looking at the photographer said that her computer
crashed and the images were in her job backup. When we run check on this job
    it shows 0 missing.
On another job we saw discrepancy this morning between the image folder and
the number of images in the TNJ. I just ran check on it and there were 0
    missing images.

If a computer crashes while in CapturePost the matches between the last time it was saved and the crash are lost. The images should be safe both in the normal images folder and in the backup. Those images from the last save on need to be imported and matched manually.
