If you sell CD's of student images in packages what is teh procedures you employee. Do you manually add them to a folder and burn them to a CD or do you have some automation.
I have a Queue in TS NeoPack 4 named Bravo. I bitmap the images from there and then maually place them in individual folders with their names. Then send the folders to a Rimage for burning. I have two Bravo Pro 2i publishers that I had been using with another program and it was all automated except sleeving the CD and sealing the packing sleeve. I f you have another way, I would be very interested. We produced around 30,000 student CD's last school year with our automated process.

We are also very interested in an automated way to export CDs as any sort of manual process is going to be very time consuming, even on a small scale.

We print the image and label out of Timestone to a bitmap file using their name. We then drag and drop the image and the label to the Primera PTPublisher, without creating folders for each subject. The PTPublisher allows you to queue up quite a few cd's, and can be "set and forget". The process is Drag Image>Drag Label>Click Go!

Tomas- when I open PTPublisher I have to choose the type of project...Being data cd...then drag images into it...then next step is to select label file. So I choose our label that we ripped and it did not work...Gave me job error 18. Am I missing something here? I wonder if it was our label file that caused the error. Or maybe I'm just not following correctly.

Hmm... don't know what job error 18 is, but it could be your label. Our label is sized as 4.75x4.75, maybe that is your problem. Otherwise you are doing what we do. Quick tip: F1 key starts a data project in PTP.

I just talked with Primera and I was wandering what versions of PTP and Surething you are on? Also when creating the cd's do you have verify checked? They are thinking it might be the older versions we are on as well as having verify checked. I have put the files on the local HD of the computer the bravo is hooked upto so I know its not from accessing it from the network. So just checking and eliminating the causes one by one for the error I get.

I use PTP 1.4.6, but don't use SureThing at all. The labels we use are Timestone generated jpeg files sized 4.75x4.75. Also, I don't use verify.

Thanks so much for your help...thats the same version we currrently use...I turned off the verify feature and it worked prefectly. Dont know why the verify did not want to work. Seems like it should but who knows. It works and I'm ok with that.
